  Dear Calvin,
  
  What is it with you and birthdays?
  
  You had a stomach bug during your first birthday and a horrible chest cold on your second birthday.
  
  Tomorrow is your father's birthday and I just found out that you have a fever of 102 degrees. Seriously, child. What the hell?
  
  On the other hand, I hope it's just a 24-hr thing and that you feel fine tomorrow so you can celebrate like a proper 2-year-old and roughhouse with Papa.
  
  If this continues to happen, however, I will have no choice but to discontinue birthday celebrations in this family.
